The journey never ends

There is a Japanese concept called Kaizen. It means improvement and has inspired many books of business philosophy and management. I think there is something very profound to this simple little concept which is not to be overlooked. I will share my reasons below.

Excellence is not a destination; it is a continuous journey that never ends

We set ourselves goals and then we try to achieve them. But we also understand that when we set ourselves goals we limit our ambition. The goal becomes the ceiling as well as the aspiration.

This is why when you’re setting a budget for your property you’re are also telling your team to not set their goals higher or lower. Kaizen, in contrast, focuses on all actions that lead to continuous improvement.

If you create a culture which focuses on the right processes and actions then the best results will follow. Those results may be better and worse than you could possibly have predicted. But, importantly, they will be the best possible results.

Every feature that we build at FLYR is designed to inspire the right action for you. We believe that data should turn into insights and insights should always turn into actions.

Our philosophy is one of building tools that enable you to take the correct actions at the right time in a joyful way. In this way, we believe, the best possible results for your business will emerge.

Knowing what to do is great but doing it is better. Our process is now to review prices every two hours and we’ve increased our activity by more than 10x. – Anika Jacobs, Ecomama
